Jacob blesses sons

But some don’t sound like blessings

Just some honesty

    Efraim & Manaseh
    Jacob’s grandchildren

    speaking of Judah
    washing in the “blood of grapes”
    Jacob blesses him

    a tribe of Israel
    “Dan shall govern his people”
    as from the roadside

    after Jacob dies
    Joseph buries his father
    as he has promised

    burying Jacob
    Joseph mourns for seven days
    thus sitting shivah

    at 110
    Joseph dies, is embalmed
    a state funeral
