Is bald beautiful? According to the Torah A bald man is "pure"
Leviticus 13:40-42"If a man loses the hair of his head and become bald, he is pure. If he loses the hair on the front part of his head and becomes bald at the forehead, he is pure."Of course, the Torah is saying this in the context of skin afflictions. The verse following those I cited is about a "white affliction streaked with red" that might render the person impure if it appeared on the bald part. But taken only slightly out of context, maybe we use these verses to conclude that in the "eyes" of G-d a smooth bald pate is, indeed, beautiful. Or, maybe not. But it's certainly one way to have a little bit of fun with a portion that is not much fun to study.Photo by Terry Harris via Wikipedia Commons
