    being together

    by changing their names
    they take on inner power
    venturing onward

    with so many gods
    Abraham invents one God
    by just saying so

    Ishmael’s mother
    Hagar hears a divine voice
    fulfilling her role

    cutting covenants
    circumcision for Avram
    and all his offspring
