Lincoln might say it lasted
Six score and seven

Abraham was old
One hundred seventy five
When he passed away

His son Ishmael
Almost 14 decades old
When he breathed his last

Were “years” shorter then?
Or did our old ancestors
Have good health care plans?


According to this week’s portion, at the times of their deaths Sarah was 127, Abraham was 175, and Ishmael was 137 years old.
