The actions we take
Noah was righteous
But “in his generation”
Might limit the praise
What’s more difficult -
Righteousness among scoundrels
Or the virtuous?
No need to panic / Find a partner and study / To seek the answers

The Torah leaves more questions
Than those it answers
We end Genesis
The secular year begins
Let us gather strength
Now Jacob blesses
Ephraim and Manasseh
But his hands are crossed
Again, the second
Instead of the first born son
Is the favored one
Judah pleads his case
Tells Joseph of Jacob’s pain
Brothers reunite
Brothers in Egypt
They don’t recognize Joseph
But he knows it’s them
Joe frames Benjamin
Puts the goblet in his sack
To test his brothers
Mrs. Potiphar
Was the “cougar” of her day
Seducing Joseph
The young man said, “no”
Resisted her advances
But still went to jail
Jacob fears Esau
Who comes with four hundred men
Ready for battle?
That’s not Esau’s plan
The reunion is peaceful
As brothers embrace
Seven years of work
Jacob thinks he’ll wed Rachel
That was Laban’s vow
But Laban tricked him
Gave Jacob the older girl
Leah, not Rachel
Then, seven more years
Before Jake would have Rachel
It didn’t seem fair
Jealousy ensues
About Jacob, his twelve sons
And even mandrakes
